|Hospital radio invites Project action London to talk

What a delight to be invited to hospital radio bedside Bournemouth to speak about the work Project action is doing. Christopher Ross invited us to his show to talk about how we are making connections within our local community and the work we are wishing to do. We were joined by Mike Hardy, and we had a lovely hour sharing our story.

In 2019 I moved to Ringwood area, just before Covid, it has been a difficult time for a company that only offered training face to face. Our work stopped fully, and we had to find new ways. However, we have used this dramatic change in our world to look at ways we can help people without the need to be there in person.

Being asked to speak on the hospital radio was perfect for our company as our purpose is to help people after illness or changes in life to find work which will fit in their health, lifestyle, and work needs. Our aim is to help people look at getting back into work and addressing a new era. Having been involved in recruitment and having employed people for many years I wanted to use my knowledge and skills to help others. I love running a company so setting up a CIC company to help others and using our profits to help the community was a perfect fit for this next journey in my career www.projectactionlondon.org.uk

After 26 years running my own nanny recruitment company my decision to change career to become a trained tutor/trainer took place after attending Canterbury Christchurch University. This change in career happened after a serious illness, and I needed to re-evaluate my work and health balance. However, I still had a part of the old company running offering childcare training, so I moved all the childcare training over to Project Action our CIC company online. This is now accessible to anyone, anywhere in the country or even the world. If the client wishes to reach out to us that is still possible via various communications. Our training is Ofsted compliant; we can support those looking to gain CPD, changing career or wishing to have formal training in childcare. This all fitted in perfectly with our aims.

Now it is time to reach out to local companies to continue our work. Café Velo in Ringwood invited us to help them. We have held mental health training evening since the pandemic. Our training is about helping people manage the stresses of life and find ways of coping. Over the past few years, we have all suffered one way or another and the community having the opportunity to come together has helped and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with Vikki and Pete to provide this. @cafevelo https://www.facebook.com/cafevelo.co.uk/

Project Action London hopes to be able to return to companies and assist them with training so that our work with the community can continue, we offer training in Customer service, dealing with difficult situations and many more. Our work is made bespoke to your company needs and again by companies helping us we can then help others.

We thank Christopher and the Bedside radio for inviting us to speak about our work. It is important for small companies such as Project Action London to have a voice in the local community.www.hospitalradiobedside.org
